The evil ‘Illiteracy’ is more rampant in rural, backward and poor areas. The gap between the men and women’s education needs to be eradicated to make India grow economically as well as financially.
Illiteracy in India is the evil that haunts many women of the marginalized section of the society. A women’s education has always been considered a huge issue and is being compromised on the males counterpart. Dhanpatmal Virmani Education Trust and Management Society is working really hard to provide education to the destitute illiterate women of the society. Senior Secondary School is very old in Roop Nagar. First, It is founded at Lyall pur city 1916.After partition 1947, Virmanis making strenuous efforts to ensure that the school was restarted in india. Today, the elders of theat generation have all gone but the joint commitmnet to the school, its charitable activities and the work of the Trust continues to keep the different branches ofh the extended family together. 100 years completed of the dhanpatmal virmani school from Lyall pur to delhi.
The Dhanpatmal Virmani Education Trust and Management Society was established in pre-partition India by two brothers in the memory of their father. The trust opened a school in Lyallpur (now Faisalabad), Punjab in 1916 and ran it successfully till the chaos of partition and migration in 1947. After enormous efforts, the school was re-established in Delhi in 1954 on rented premises with government aid. In 1963 it moved to its current premises on land granted by the government. Another low fee private school for the children of the area was also built on the same premises later.
