International Yoga Day

The International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2017 at 410 Women Literacy Centers to let women & the community know the natural benefits of Yoga & get them win over all the health challenges through its regular practice.

This was a great opportunity because it brought all the women together from their busy schedule to perform Yoga.

Yoga is a Mental, Physical and Spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day. Women got the chance to know how it embodies unity of mind and body. The beneficiaries with the center instructors performed Yoga at their respective centers. Different yoga postures like Vrikshasana, Paschimottanasana, Sidhdhasana, Vajrasana, Tadasan, Shashankaasana, Bhujangasana, & Shavasana with their benefits were introduced & asked to practice daily. Pranayams like Bhramri, Anulom Vilom, Tank Vidya & Sheetli Pranayam was done by everyone. Meditation & other Yogic exercises were done at different WLC.

A Yoga Session was organised at Head office where our team of coordinators, Senior coordinators, office staff, Center instructors performed Yoga. Mr. Dileep Kumar( Head SIG-TPDDL), Mrs. Geetanjali Tripathi (Manager SIG- TPDDL), Ms. Inakshi & Ms. Pooja from SIG- TPDDL attended the session & motivated everyone about practicing Yoga regularly. At the end of session, a feedback round was organised where all the participants wrote their feedback & a quote on Yoga. The three best quotes were awarded by Mr. Dileep Kumar.

Heartfelt thanks to our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi for giving an opportunity to connect people to the nature by practicing yoga.
